Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Paint Technician role based in Doha, Qatar. The Paint Technician will prepare vehicle and yacht surfaces, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming, to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality. The role involves mixing and matching paints according to manufacturer specifications, applying coatings using appropriate tools and methods, and performing touch-ups and refinishing as needed. The Paint Technician will conduct visual and measurement-based inspections to verify finish quality, identify defects, and coordinate with body shop and collision repair teams to meet project timelines. Daily responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe work area, following safety protocols and material handling standards, and keeping accurate records of materials used and work completed.
Qualifications
* Candidates should possess strong skills in Paint and Painting, including surface preparation, color matching, and application techniques.
* Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control, with the ability to inspect finishes, identify defects, and ensure adherence to company and industry standards.
* Candidates should possess experience working with Body Shops, understanding workflows, coordination with technicians, and refinish processes.
* Candidates should possess knowledge related to Collision repair environments, including post-repair refinishing requirements and safety practices.
* Relevant experience as a paint technician, refinisher, or automotive/marine painter in a workshop or industrial setting.
* Ability to read and follow technical datasheets, safety instructions, and manufacturer guidelines for paints and coatings.
* Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the capability to work standing for extended periods in an industrial environment.
* Basic understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to paints, solvents, and spraying equipment.
* High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in automotive refinishing or industrial painting is an advantage.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team and communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues.
