Title: Nursing Assistant
Location: Muscat, Oman
Qualifications, Experience
* Qualification: ANM / GNM / B.Sc. Nursing
* Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Mandatory Requirements:
* Dataflow verification for Qualification, License, and Experience must be completed.
* No Prometric examination is required.
* Candidates must attend and pass the MOH Viva examination.
* Immediate joiners will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and feeding.
* Assist nurses in providing care to residents with physical and cognitive disabilities.
* Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure, as trained and authorized.
* Assist with positioning, turning, mobilization and transfer of residents.
* Assist with bed making and maintaining a hygienic patient environment.
* Provide support for residents requiring wheelchair, walker or other mobility assistance.
* Assist with meals, hydration and feeding as directed.
* Assist in the care of residents with urinary catheters, tracheostomy, PEG tubes and other medical devices under nursing supervision, within approved scope of practice.
* Observe residents for changes in physical or mental condition and promptly report abnormalities to the Staff Nurse.
* Assist with pressure injury prevention, including regular repositioning and skin observation.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided.
* Assist nurses during emergency situations and follow emergency protocols.
* Maintain infection prevention and control practices, including hand hygiene and appropriate PPE.
* Ensure residents' comfort, dignity, privacy and safety at all times.
* Support rehabilitation activities as instructed by nurses and therapists.
* Assist in maintaining a safe and clean patient-care environment.
* Follow institutional policies, procedures and resident safeguarding requirements.
