Al Khaleej Takaful Insurance is seeking an experienced compliance professional to oversee its Compliance and AML/CFT activities. This role calls for sound judgment, independence and the ability to work across the business to manage regulatory risk. Key responsibilities * Oversee the implementation and regular review of AML/CFT policies, procedures, systems and controls. * Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies, and ensure that identified concerns are investigated and addressed. * Receive and assess internal suspicious transaction reports and fulfil the role’s related reporting responsibilities. * Act as a point of contact for relevant authorities on AML/CFT matters. * Report significant compliance matters, breaches and corrective actions to senior management and the Board. * Keep the organisation informed of relevant regulatory developments and support the delivery of compliance and AML/CFT training. Qualifications and experience * A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law or a related discipline. * 5–10 years of relevant experience, including 2–4 years in a comparable role. * Strong knowledge of AML/CFT requirements and compliance practices in a regulated financial institution. * The ability to investigate complex issues, communicate clearly with senior stakeholders and handle confidential matters with discretion. * Experience in insurance is preferred. CAMS certification or an equivalent AML qualification is an advantage.
