About the Role Specialized Enterprise Systems (SES) is hiring a Database Engineer / DBA (L2/L3) at a client site in Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, optimization, and support of enterprise database platforms within a mission-critical data center environment. The role provides advanced Level 2 and Level 3 support to ensure the availability, performance, security, and integrity of business-critical databases. Key Responsibilities * Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise database environments, including Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and other supported database platforms * Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for database-related incidents, service requests, and problem management activities * Ensure high availability, performance, reliability, and security of all database systems supporting mission-critical applications and services * Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning activities * Monitor database health, capacity utilization, storage growth, and performance metrics, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues * Conduct database performance tuning and optimization, including query tuning, indexing strategies, workload analysis, and resource management * Manage backup, recovery, replication, clustering, and high-availability solutions to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery readiness Requirements * 7+ years of experience in enterprise database administration * Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field * Willing to relocate to the client site in Saudi Arabia within 2 months * Standard shifts with 24x7 on-call rotation Skills and Technologies * Database Administration (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) * Database Performance Tuning & Optimization * Backup, Recovery & Disaster Recovery * Database Security & Compliance * High Availability & Clustering Technologies * Replication & Data Protection Solutions * SQL Scripting & Automation * Capacity Planning & Performance Monitoring * Incident & Problem Management * Change & Release Management Preferred Certifications Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Microsoft SQL Server Certifications, PostgreSQL Professional Certification, MySQL Database Administrator Certification, ITIL Foundation Certification
