Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Croissant Maker role based in Abu Dhabi. The Croissant Maker prepares and bakes croissants and related pastry items, including scaling ingredients, mixing dough, laminating, shaping, proofing, and baking according to established recipes and quality standards. The role involves monitoring baking times and temperatures, ensuring consistency in texture, flavor, and appearance, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workstation in line with food safety and hygiene requirements. The Croissant Maker collaborates with the bakery team to meet production schedules, manage inventory of raw materials, and assist with new product trials or recipe improvements as needed. The role may also require early morning or shift-based work to support daily production demands.
Qualifications
* Practical experience in pastry or bakery production, particularly in croissant and laminated dough preparation.
* Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and basic HACCP principles in a commercial kitchen or industrial bakery environment.
* Ability to follow standardized recipes, production schedules, and quality specifications with strong attention to detail.
* Physical ability to stand for extended periods, handle baking equipment safely, and work in a fast-paced production area.
* Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills, with reliability in attendance and punctuality.
* Previous experience in large-scale or industrial baking operations in the UAE or GCC is an advantage.
* Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills for measuring ingredients and documenting production or waste.
* Willingness to work shifts, including early mornings, weekends, or holidays, depending on operational needs.
