About The Company
ADRobotics is building a new venture focused on next-generation robotics, developing intelligent service robots that operate safely and efficiently in human environments. Backed by a strong institutional platform and supported by a leading incubator, the venture aims to improve productivity, safety, and efficiency across high-impact industries through the deployment of versatile robotic solutions.
About The Role
We're hiring a Buyer to manage day-to-day tactical purchasing for ADRobotics.
This role is responsible for issuing and expediting purchase orders, managing supplier delivery commitments, and resolving day-to-day procurement issues to keep production supplied on time. It sits within the Supply Chain pillar, working alongside Sourcing (which owns strategic contracts and supplier selection) to execute against agreed pricing and terms.
You will work closely with Planning, Inventory Management, and Manufacturing Engineering to translate material requirements into timely, accurate purchase orders, and to resolve supply issues before they impact the production line.
Key Responsibilities
* Convert approved purchase requisitions and MRP-generated demand into purchase orders in the ERP system, within the pricing, terms, and supplier agreements set by Sourcing.
* Track order acknowledgements, confirm lead times, and expedite or de-expedite POs in response to changing production schedules.
* Monitor open PO status and proactively flag late deliveries, shortages, or quality holds to Planning and Production Supervision.
* Resolve day-to-day supplier issues (invoice mismatches, packing discrepancies, delivery exceptions) in coordination with Receiving and Accounts Payable.
* Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier lead times, and pricing data in the ERP to support reliable MRP planning.
* Support supplier onboarding administration (vendor setup, documentation) as directed by Sourcing.
* Run routine spend and on-time-delivery reporting for assigned commodities/suppliers.
* Escalate recurring supplier performance issues to Sourcing for contractual or strategic resolution.
Requirements
* 3+ years of experience in tactical purchasing, buying, or procurement operations, preferably in a manufacturing, hardware, or start-up/scale-up environment.
* UAE experience preferred, with familiarity with local import/customs and supplier landscape.
* Hands-on experience issuing and managing purchase orders against existing supplier agreements (not strategic sourcing or contract negotiation).
* Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) for purchase order creation, tracking, and reporting.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing a high volume of POs and delivery dates.
* Comfortable operating in fast-paced, early-stage, or scaling business environments.
* Good communication skills to coordinate with suppliers, Planning, and Receiving.
Education And Certifications
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
* Certification in purchasing or supply chain (e.g., CIPS, APICS/ASCM) considered an advantage.
* Proficiency in ERP and procurement software tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle).
