Business Development Engineer — Geophysics
''Turn subsurface science into client decisions.''
Location: Remote with regional travel
Employment : Full-time
Working language: English
Your Mission
TDS is a geoscience and environmental consultancy working across water, environment, mining and green energy, with branches across Saudi Arabia and internationally. Our geophysics team runs electrical, electromagnetic (including drone-borne EM), seismic and potential-field surveys for groundwater, minerals, and geotechnical and energy-transition projects. We are looking for a technically grounded professional to be the first point of contact with our clients and to open new opportunities for the department.
Your Impact
* Identify and qualify opportunities with mining companies, water utilities, government agencies, engineering contractors and energy developers.
* Understand each client's problem and, with our geophysicists, recommend the right method and survey design.
* Prepare proposals, capability statements and tender responses; coordinate technical and cost inputs.
* Present TDS solutions in meetings, conferences and site visits; follow up to close.
* Maintain the opportunity pipeline in our CRM and report monthly on activity and results.
* Contribute to agreed annual targets for qualified pipeline and revenue.
What You Bring
* Bachelor's degree in geophysics, geological engineering, geology or a related geoscience.
* Working knowledge of at least two geophysical methods (e.g., resistivity/IP, TEM/EM, seismic, gravity, magnetics) and the problems each solves.
* 3–5 years of experience in client-facing, technical-sales, business-development or geophysical project roles.
* Clear written and spoken English and confidence presenting to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Willingness to travel regionally.
Nice to Have
* Master's degree in geoscience or mineral-resources field.
* Experience with GIS or geological-modelling software (e.g., QGIS, Leapfrog, Oasis Montaj).
* Exposure to tenders or public-sector procurement.
Why TDS
Competitive salary plus performance-based incentive, mentoring by senior geophysicists, exposure to international projects and new EM technologies, and a clear growth path to Business Development Manager.
