This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded actuarial professional to take on a highly visible leadership role at the intersection of analytics, strategy, and client advisory. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping reinsurance solutions, influencing portfolio strategy, and delivering data-driven insights that support complex business decisions across regional and international markets.
The role offers exposure to senior stakeholders, challenging reinsurance programmes, and high-impact strategic initiatives within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

* Perform actuarial and portfolio analyses across general insurance portfolios, including pricing adequacy, volatility assessments, retention optimisation, and reinsurance structuring.
* Develop, validate, and interpret actuarial models, loss projections, stress-testing scenarios, and portfolio performance metrics.
* Support the design and optimisation of proportional and non-proportional reinsurance structures, including quota share, excess of loss, and hybrid arrangements.
* Translate complex technical analyses into clear commercial insights and strategic recommendations for clients and business leaders.
* Collaborate on client presentations, renewal negotiations, placement strategies, and market-facing initiatives.
* Review methodologies, challenge assumptions, and ensure analytical outputs meet governance, quality, and regulatory standards.
* Contribute to the development of actuarial frameworks, analytical tools, and process improvement initiatives.
* Support business development efforts through technical expertise, market insights, and client engagement activities.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, reinsurers, and regional stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
* Qualified or Near-Qualified Actuary (FIA, FIAI, FCAS, or equivalent).
* Minimum 8+ years of experience in actuarial, reinsurance analytics, or portfolio management.
* Strong understanding of actuarial principles, portfolio analytics, reinsurance pricing methodologies, and treaty structures.
* Proven experience assessing risk, validating analytical outputs, and delivering commercially relevant recommendations.
* Strong knowledge of proportional and non-proportional reinsurance solutions.
* Experience within a reinsurance broker, reinsurer, or insurance company environment is highly preferred.
* Exposure to client-facing engagements, renewal strategies, and reinsurance placement activities.
* Proficiency in actuarial and analytical tools such as R, Python, SQL, Alteryx, Power BI, or similar platforms is advantageous.
* Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
* Strong commercial acumen combined with exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
